Integrating the Shadows of the Enneagram - Intensive
“Whenever we are too anti anything, we can be pretty sure there is some shadow material lurking somewhere nearby.”
- Carl Jung
Most of us live our lives hiding from our shadow selves. The shadow self is that part of us that we feel is not really supporting the advancement of who we think we ought to be.
We each have a sense of what best supports a “worthwhile” self-image. The Self that is productive, fearless and interesting. Crafting this image takes a lot of our time and we hope it will attract the life society tells us to dream of.
There is one problem. My shadow-self keeps tugging at my pant leg to get my attention. What do I do with the parts of me that I do not want? How can these shadowy figures be of use as I work to be my “best” self.
Using the spiritual domains of the enneagram, we will explore our relationship with the shadow selves that live in each of us. As we unpack the dichotomy living in each enneagram space, we will reveal how our shadows are actually guides for growing our Soul Lives.
This study group will:
Help us understand or relationship to our shadow-selves
Reveal new aspects of what I value
Help us discover new ways of seeing myself and others.
Help me work with my judgements
Help us understand self-compassion in a new way

“Today’s class was awesome. It really stirred up things in me and once I was over the ‘I should have done this before’ self-criticism, I was more “I think I’m finally ready to hear this.”
